Heating Oil Delivery in Westchester, Putnam & Bronx County

Heating oil delivery in Mount Kisco has been our core business since 1986. Almeida Oil has been delivering #2 fuel oil and B20 biofuel to homes across Westchester, Putnam & Bronx County for four decades — from a company that owns its own wholesale fuel terminal and answers the phone around the clock.
If you're looking for automatic delivery, a budget plan, or just a reliable home heating oil service that doesn't disappear when things get busy, here's what we do.
Automatic Heating Oil Delivery Westchester Homeowners Can Count On
We don't wait for you to call. Our automatic delivery program tracks usage patterns alongside local weather data — what's called weather-conditioned delivery — and schedules your fill-up before your tank reaches a critical level.
It works like this: we calculate your home's heating degree days, factor in your tank size and historical consumption, and route a driver to your property before you'd even think to check the gauge. Most customers set it up once and never think about running out again.
This matters most during the stretches when it's hardest to get fuel — extended cold snaps, back-to-back storms, the kind of week where regional demand spikes and less-prepared companies run short. Because we operate our own terminal, our supply stays stable when others get squeezed.
What's Included in Our Delivery Service
#2 Fuel Oil & B20 Biofuel Heating Oil
Our standard #2 heating oil contains 20% of biofuel (B20) which is more environmentally friendly, does not require any equipment modification, and can saver you $200/year in NYS tax credits based on average usage of 1000 gal/yr (20 cents per gallon in NYS tax credit). Most Westchester homes run on it, and it's what we deliver every day. Our commercial clients can order B10 #2 heating oil if they prefer. We source directly through our wholesale terminal, which keeps our pricing competitive across the season.
Automatic Delivery with Weather-Conditioned Scheduling
As described above — we track the weather and your usage so you don't have to. No will-call hassle, no monitoring your tank in January, no emergency calls at 11pm because you forgot to reorder.
Level Billing Plan
Your heating costs can swing dramatically between September and February. Our level billing plan spreads your annual oil cost into equal monthly payments over 10-11 months so your budget doesn't get hit with a $600 bill in the coldest month of the year. We estimate your annual usage at the start of the season and true up at the end.
Price Lock-In
We offer a price lock-in option on heating oil that fixes your per-gallon cost for the heating season. If market prices climb, you're protected. This is something we're able to offer because we understand our own supply costs — owning the terminal has real advantages here.
Oil Burner Service Contracts
An oil burner service contract covers annual tune-ups, priority service, and — depending on the plan — parts and labor for breakdowns. Regular service keeps your system running efficiently and catches problems before they turn into emergency calls in February.
We offer three types of service contracts to our automatic delivery customers:
-
Bronze: 8am–4:30pm coverage Monday through Friday, plus one tune-up and cleaning per contract year.
-
Silver: Bronze coverage, plus 24/7 coverage for no-heat emergencies when outside air temperature is below 50F. 24/7 coverages for serious fuel leaks or other dangerous situations.
-
Platinum: Silver 24/7 coverage, and includes the most extensive parts coverage.
Tank Insurance
Older underground or above-ground tanks can fail. Tank insurance protects you from the cost of emergency replacement and potential cleanup liability. Ask us about it and we'll put you in touch with one of the few insurance companies that offer it.
Heating System Installation
If you're replacing an aging boiler or furnace, we handle that too. Our boiler and furnace installation service covers oil-fired systems for residential properties throughout the area. Free estimates on all equipment work.
How to Get Started
Getting set up for automatic oil delivery Westchester is straightforward.
1. Call us at (914) 666-4328. We'll confirm your address is in our service area (it almost certainly is), get your tank size and current fuel level, and talk through which delivery and payment plan fits your situation.
2. We set up your account. You'll be added to our automatic delivery schedule. If you want a price lock-in or level billing, we handle that in the same call.
3. Your first delivery gets scheduled. For new customers, we typically get out within a few business days. If your tank is critically low, we'll treat it as a priority.
4. We manage the rest. Once you're on automatic delivery, you don't need to do anything. Deliveries happen before you run low. You get a delivery slip at your door, and the charge posts to your account on file.
If you have a specific question before committing, our FAQ page covers a lot of common ground — pricing plans, how automatic scheduling works, what to do if you smell oil, and more. And of course you can always call us (914) 666-4328
The Wholesale Terminal Difference
Most local heating oil companies are resellers. They buy from a regional terminal, mark it up, and deliver to you. We own our terminal.
That one difference changes how we operate. We're not dependent on a middleman's inventory or pricing decisions. During tight supply periods — and there have been several bad ones in Westchester over the past decade — our customers don't face allocation problems. We have fuel.
It also means we can make real commitments on price lock-in. When we quote you a locked rate, we know our cost basis. We're not guessing.
Our Service Area
We deliver throughout Westchester region from our base in Mt Kisco. Our service area covers Westchester, Putnam, Bronx and parts of Fairfield counties, including:
Our delivery routes extend well beyond this list, and for existing customers, we work hard to accommodate even addresses on the edge of our range.
If You Run Out of Oil
It happens. We offer emergency fuel delivery for our customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week — including weekends and holidays. If your system has locked out because the tank ran dry, call us and we'll walk you through what to do while we get a driver out to you.
This is one reason our customers stay. When something goes wrong at the worst possible time, someone answers the phone.
Call (914) 666-4328 — we're available 24/7.
Frequently Asked Questions About Heating Oil Delivery
How does automatic oil delivery work?
When you sign up for automatic oil delivery, we calculate your home's expected fuel consumption based on your tank size, system type, and historical usage. We then factor in daily heating degree day data — a weather metric that reflects how hard your system is working — and schedule deliveries proactively. For propane delivery, most of the tanks have a sensor which tells us when you are running low on propane. You don't call us; we come to you before your tank gets low.
What is a heating degree day, and why does it matter?
A heating degree day is a unit that measures how much the outdoor temperature falls below 65°F on a given day. The colder the day, the higher the degree day value, and the faster your heating oil is consumed. Our weather-conditioned delivery system uses this data in real time to adjust delivery schedules across our entire route. When a cold stretch hits, we're already routing drivers accordingly.
What's the difference between a price lock-in and a level billing plan?
A price lock-in fixes your per-gallon cost on heating oil for the heating season — you pay the same rate regardless of what happens to market prices. A level billing plan doesn't fix your price, but it spreads your estimated annual oil cost into equal 10-11 monthly payments so there are no billing spikes in peak winter months. Some customers do both. We'll explain what makes sense for your situation when you call.
How long does it take to get my first delivery?
For new customers with adequate tank levels, typically a few business days. If your tank is critically low or empty, tell us when you call — we prioritize those. For customers enrolling during peak heating season (December through February), lead times can stretch slightly, which is one reason we recommend setting up automatic delivery before the cold season starts. Call us and we'll give you an honest estimated delivery time (914) 666-4328
Do I need to be home for a delivery?
No. Our drivers deliver to your tank directly — they don't need access to your home. They'll leave a delivery slip on your door. If there's anything specific we need to know about your property (gated driveway, large dog, access code), let us know when you set up your account and we'll note it on your file.
